Project Home Imixs Web Tools

Build modern Web 2.0 business applications using the powerful new features of JSF 2.0. The Imixs Web Tools help you to integrate your business logic into a modern social collaboration software.

Building Web Forms

A human-to-human business process is mostly driven by an input form. A form contains input fields, general informations about what the user should enter and finally one or more action buttons to submit the form.
But building a Workflow Software means to implement business logic. A business process will change over the time and also the input forms will change to fullfil the needs of the process owners. This means that a BPM Software needs to be adapted fast and easy when requirements are changing.
There are different technologies and frameworks available to build modern web forms in a fast and easy way. The most common technology used to build web forms is the Java Server Faces framework (JSF). This technology enables you to build a web user interface in short time with modern layout and UI components.

Imixs JSF Web Tools

The Imixs Web-Tools project provides a set of business components which can be integrated easily in any modern web application. For example the components makes it easy to bind an input field to a process instance, and provide command buttons depending on your current workflow model.
The Imixs Web components support JSF 1.2 and also JSF 2.0. There is no restriction to a specific web technology or a certain JSF implementation. The Imixs Web Tools can be used with any Web 2.0 technology (like RichFaces, IceFaces, MyFaces)
You are free to design your web application with the framework which best fits your requirements. The Imixs Project did not squeeze you in a specific technology.
